Entry requirements for fully-vaccinated passengers

Effective Feb. 11, 2022

• Before you travel to England you must complete a passenger locator form. You need to do this in the 48 hours before you arrive in England.
• You do not need to take any COVID-19 travel tests before you travel to England or after you arrive.
• You do not need to quarantine when you arrive in England.
• Read separate guidance to check if you qualify as fully vaccinated.

Entry requirements for non fully-vaccinated passengers

Before you travel to England you must:

• take a COVID-19 test – to be taken in the 2 days before you travel to England
• book and pay for a COVID-19 PCR test – to be taken after you arrive in England
• complete a UK passenger locator form – to be completed in the 48 hours before you arrive in England
• You will need to enter your PCR test booking reference number in the passenger locator form.
• Read separate guidance about taking a COVID-19 test before you travel to England.

When you arrive in England – not fully vaccinated

• You do not need to quarantine when you arrive in England.
• You must take the COVID-19 PCR test that you booked before you travelled.
• You can take the test any time after you arrive and before the end of day 2 at the latest. The day you arrive in England is day 0.
• If the test result is positive or unclear, you must self-isolate.
• Read separate guidance about how long you have to self-isolate for and where you can self-isolate.

Passengers Arriving from a Red List Country

Note: There are currently no countries on the Red List.

There are different rules if you have been in a red list country in the 10 days before you arrive in England. There are currently no countries or territories on the red list.

Crew Restrictions

Entry requirements for fully-vaccinated crew

If you qualify as fully vaccinated, you do not need to take a COVID-19 test when you arrive in England.

Entry requirements for not fully-vaccinated crew

• You do not need to Complete a passenger locator form or take any Covid 19 test before travel to England

After you arrive in England:

• If you are in England for longer than 2 days, you need to take a lateral flow test on or before day 2
• If you are travelling every day, you must take a lateral flow test at least once every 3 days
• You do not need to quarantine

London-Northolt expanded operating hours

RAF Northolt Airport in London has extended its M-F operating hours by three hours to 0800-2000L. This is a big deal because as the closest GA-accessible to central London, as well as the closest airport to Heathrow, these longer hours make it a much better option for international operators. Universal Aviation Northolt worked hard to make this happen.

UK-APD payments

Don’t miss your UK-APD payments – Passenger flights out of the UK are subject to Air Passenger Duty (UK-APD) payments, and many operators forget to pay these within the 7-day deadline.
